The visit to Scotland we had long-awaited!
We also made it to John o' Groats, the northernmost village in the mainland UK, a mere 690 miles (1,110 km) from London!! Woo Hoo!!
We clocked a total of 1800 miles on the round trip, over 6 nights & 7 days.

Welcome to Scotland! Yoo hoo!!

Forth bridge, built 1890, a massive engineering feat even by today's standards with its 2.5km span

Forth Bridge carries rail traffic between Edinborough and the Kingdom of Fife, over the Firth of Forth.

As many as 98 men had lost their lives building the bridge.

We also had some uniform-clad cops paying us a visit during this photo-shoot, as someone apparently phoned police tipping them off that some dodgy Asian bloke was taking pics of the historic bridge!!

Loch Lomond is UK's largest freshwater lake by surface area

It is 24 miles long and up to 5 miles wide.

Most importantly, "Loch Lomond" is the favourite whiskey of Captain Haddock.

The "Maid of the Loch", Britain's largest ever inland vessel at Balloch Pier, Loch Lomond. Built in the 1950's and now undergoing restoration.
