This row of houses, they say, is the most photographed in England and it is not difficult to see why: It is an icon of the rural past of the country. The history of these houses run back to 1600's when these were first erected at the time Cotswold was flourishing for wool trade. What we see now is the row of houses as it has been since the late 1700's. These are also a few of the oldest inhabited houses in England. |
